Jay Brown practices in both criminal and family law. He has secured acquittals at Provincial Court, as well as the Court of King’s Bench, including jury trials.

His approach is to apply common sense to the law as much as its technical demands; he has often found that simply picking up a phone and speaking to other counsel, including crown prosecutors, can often bring about positive results without the protracted process of going to trial. When matters do need to go to trial, though, he is prepared and understands the details of the file.

Jay is fully bilingual, and has defended clients in both English and French.
